Activities for 09/01/2014 to 09/12/2014
- RM 967 to Jerry’s Lane will have construction activity related to prepping driveways on right roadway, paving driveways, pave roadway, stripe, mill existing roadway, and remove metal beam guard fence.
- Jerry’s Lane to McKinnon Loop will have construction activity related to striping, set crash cushions, milling, excavation and embankment, and paving driveways.
- McKinnon Loop to the Travis County Line will have construction activity related to striping and paving of the detour and milling.
- Travis County Line to Brodie Lane will have construction activity related to the installation of 24” RCP, prepping subgrade, and removal of metal beam guard fence.
The striping activities will have severe impact to traffic. Paving of driveways will cause moderate impacts to traffic. All other activities will cause minimal impact.
The following driveways will be impacted:
1. 300 Block N FM 1626
2. 600 and 700 N. FM 1626
3. 1101 N. FM 1626
**The contractor is currently placing pavement markings along the newly constructed roadway to be utilized for the next phase of construction. Beginning on the evening of Wednesday September 3rd, crews will open the new alignment of FM 1626 from the Travis County line down to FM 967 (pending weather). The recently constructed bridge over Little Bear Creek will be placed into service and FM 1626 motorists will utilize the west side of the new roadway for NB and SB travel.
Periodic flagging operations will be necessary from September 2nd to September 4th to allow crews to place additional asphalt to accommodate the change. Variable Message Boards have been positioned to notify motorists of the upcoming change. Please use caution in this area.
